The YES/AND Theory: Rising Without Leaving Yourself Behind

The YES/AND Theory: Rising Without Leaving Yourself Behind

Personal growth isn’t all-or-nothing.
And it sure as hell doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

You’re not pausing your life to “go figure yourself out.”
You’ve got a full plate:
A job that asks too much.
A family history filled with trauma and tenderness.
A home that runs like a carnival go-kart held together by duct tape and determination.

Let’s be real:
It’s hard to make yourself a priority when you’re bone-tired.
It’s hard to lead when you’re still healing.
It’s hard to reimagine yourself when the people around you keep you in the same old role.

This is why most people bail on coaching programs after 30 days.
Not because they’re lazy.
Not because they don’t care.

Because they’ve never had a space where their growth could coexist with their reality.

That’s what Permission to Shine is about.

Deep work that fits into your actual life.
Real conversations about who you are—and who you’re becoming.

My students often start so far from putting themselves on their own to-do list…
It takes a minute just to remember they are one of the sacred, purposeful beings of this universe.

You were not born just to support everyone else’s joy.
You are not just a good daughter, wife, or mama.
You are a dreamer, a leader, and a force in your own right.

It’s what I call the YES/AND Theory:
YES, you’re a devoted caregiver AND a fierce woman with her own calling.
YES, you love your people AND you’re allowed to prioritize yourself.
YES, you’ve carried a lot AND you still get to rise.

This isn’t about abandoning your responsibilities. It’s about reclaiming your sacred self-worth. It’s about rewriting what leadership looks like when you’re exhausted and choosing resilience when burnout whispers “quit.”

Because self-development isn’t selfish. It’s survival.
It’s soul work.

And it’s time you said yes to all of it.
